About Emily

Hi, I’m Emily, and I am a collage artist based in Wheeling, West Virginia. With a B.A. in History from Wheeling Jesuit University and an M.L.I.S. from Kent State University, I bring a unique interdisciplinary perspective to my work. My art is a powerful exploration of femininity and its intersections with societal norms, historical contexts, and political realities. Through collage, manipulation, and juxtaposition, I challenge traditional narratives and offer alternative viewpoints, free from the constraints of the male gaze. My focus on themes like body image, sexuality, and identity invites viewers to contemplate the complexities of womanhood and the enduring power of visual representation.

My collages have been exhibited at Clientele Art Studio and the Artisan Center Gallery in Wheeling and published in YNST Magazine.
