Cynthia Wood, once objectified in a vintage 'Playboy' magazine, has been liberated from the male gaze in this collage. By recontextualizing her image, I've sought to empower her, transforming her into a self-assured figure who radiates confidence in her sexuality. In this new narrative, she is her own savior - a modern-day Christ-like figure, reclaiming her agency. Crafted from vintage materials (except for the gold leaf), this piece reflects my dual role as archivist and artist: preserving the past while reimagining it for a new perspective.
